Graham has been a therapist and trainer for almost 30 years, specialising in working with the impact of disrupted attachment and developmental trauma.
He is a UKCP registered Integrative Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist, working in private practice and with specialist therapeutic organisations.
Graham has a particular interest in working with adopted children and their families, and has worked as a parent consultant and trainer for a number of adoption organisations including Adoption UK, PAC-UK and PACT. Graham has run support groups, trainings and webinars for adoptive parents, providing support and information on a range of subjects including Child to Parent Violence (CPV), school related issues and trauma-informed therapeutic parenting.
Graham also works with SWAAY Child & Adolescent Services, providing assessments and therapeutic support to young people with a history of sexually harmful behaviour. He also has experience in working with victims of sexual violence and assault.
Graham has an extensive background in somatic trauma resolution and prenatal and birth psychology. He is a fully qualified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) practioner for adults, children and adolescents.
Graham is also a craniosacral therapist with over 25 years experience, and was the co-founder and joint principal of the Institute of Craniosacral Studies, which ran from 2000-2012.
As well as his clinical work, Graham is a faculty member at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading, where he teaches anatomy to acupuncture students.
After studying and teaching primarily Japanese martial arts for over 15 years when he was younger, Graham switched to the Chinese internal arts, and has now been practising them, with an emphasis on Qi Gong for health and personal development for over 25 years, under the direct tutelage of Master Chris Chappell. He has a particular interest in working with the breath to help achieve optimum levels of health and wellbeing, and he has also studied a number of different forms of Taoist and Buddhist) meditation.
