Qi Gong ('chee gong') is a generic term to describe the primary exercise system that developed in China, in the same way that Yoga is the main exercise system from India. It is characterised by relaxed, fluid, mindful movements that serve to create a strong, well-integrated body, a calm and centred mind and a smooth balanced breath that connects the two.
For centuries, both Qi Gong (internal exercise) & Nei Gong (the core principles that drive them) have been used to dissolve deep tension, awaken internal energy, and build a body that is strong, healthy and seamlessly integrated.
Qi Gong and other internal arts, such as Tai Chi have been shown to be remarkably effective at reducing stress, increasing flexibility, relieving tension, recovering from injury and improving health and well-being overall. All of this is achieved through relaxed, low impact exercise, which makes it ideal for all ages and all levels of health and fitness.
I teach small mixed ability online and face to face classes for those people who are interested in a simple yet powerful way of developing and supporting their health and well-being. Specific online courses are also available to help build and refine the core principles of Internal Arts practice.
Private 1-1 sessions are also available for students. These sessions are individualised for the students own specific concerns, whether that be for personal development, to further and deepen their understanding of the internal arts or to to use Qi Gong as a way of helping support their physical and mental health.

Standing Qi gong is a highly effective practice to improve and develop our health, vitality, and internal strength.
The practice naturally integrates a calm relaxed breath, powerful bio-mechanical alignments and a clear focused attention—enhancing circulation, calming the nervous system, and developing a deep sense of internal stability and grounded calm that carries into daily life.

At the core of all internal arts practices are a series of core principles, known as Nei Gong. It is these core principles, usually taught within simple exercises and longer forms, that are what make the internal arts of Qi Gong and Tai Chi Chuan so effective for health and personal development. Without these core principles, the exercises just become a form of slow motion choreographed movement.

Specific Qi gong forms are taught to apply the core biomechanical and deeper Nei Gong principles into movement. These forms help to relax, strengthen and open the body to a greater extent than the simple core exercises alone.

Whole Body or Functional Breathing opens and relaxes both the body and the mind, reducing stress and anxiety and helping to support and enhance good health. Optimal breathing is also the foundation of many internal practices as it allows students to more deeply explore the nature of their internal world.

This 8-part course provides a detailed exploration of Standing Qi Gong. Each session builds on the last—refining alignment, releasing unnecessary tension, and awakening internal connection throughout the body.
You’ll learn how to develop a strong, well-integrated structure uniting posture, breath, and awareness into one integrated whole. As the body opens and the nervous system settles, strength and stillness develop side by side.
This 8-part course takes you step by step through the foundations and deeper layers of Whole Body (Functional) Breathing. Each session builds on the previous one, gradually releasing restrictions, opening the diaphragm, and restoring the body’s natural breathing rhythm.
As the breath becomes smoother and quieter, the nervous system settles, stress patterns unwind, and the mind becomes naturally still.
In this 8-part course you’ll be guided step by step through both the energetic and biomechanical details of the full Dragon and Tiger Qi gong sequence — a seven-movement system designed to open and clear the body’s major energy pathways.
Dragon and Tiger Qi gong is both a complete health practice and an ideal foundation for deeper internal work, helping you build strength, sensitivity, fluidity and to fully relax and open the body.
"Qi Gong practice is a method to enhance a person, and Graham has dedicated his life to helping people to attain a shift in energy and awareness. He is a first-class therapist and a damn fine Qi Gong teacher, and I can attest to his varied skills and ability to facilitate energetic changes in others.
Graham has a depth of experience as a therapist supported by his Qi Gong practice, and concomitantly, his practical experience in Qi Gong and Internal Arts helps his therapeutic skills. I hope many people take advantage of learning authentic Qi Gong with Graham."

I’ve been going to Graham’s Qi Gong classes for eight years. He is an excellent teacher who gives space for all students to progress at their own pace - emphasising the fundamental principles of the practice which I have taken into all aspects of my life. The lessons have opened the way for me to be able to release physical tensions and access an inner tranquility which have been hugely beneficial. The practice of energy cultivation has been a revelation that will always stay with me.
